About the Band
Lauren Nicole, now 25 years old, has written and recorded three albums over the past few years. She has played both acoustic and electric guitar for over 10 years. Prior to forming her band, Lauren recorded and released her first album, "Hope & Desire," as a solo artist in 2011. The album was produced by Chip Shearin who has worked with renowned artists such as Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, and Aretha Franklin. Shearin is primarily known for his iconic bass line in "Rappers Delight" by the Sugar Hill Gang.
In the past few years, Lauren has reached several milestones: completed a 30-day crowd-funding campaign to record a 7 song live EP in Miraverse/Manifold studios, won
the Bands4Good challenge and raised over 3,000 dollars for homeless veterans in North Carolina. Some of Lauren's influences range from Gun's N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Evanescence, Joan Jett, Christina Aguilera, Daughtry, and Fleetwood Mac just to name a few. Lauren Nicole is also the winner of the 2016 and 2017 Carolina Music Award Best Female Rock Artist of the Year.
Evan Bennett, 25, has been playing bass guitar for nearly 10 years. He joined this project in October of 2013 and since then he has been heavily involved with the band's songwriting and arranging. Evan has heavily influenced the direction of the band by creating unique instrumental guitar parts and bass lines. Over the past few years, Evan has been a constant driving force in the bands success by handling booking, co-writing, and arranging. His influences range from artists such as Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Jaco Pastorius, Flea, Duff McKagan, Chris Wholstenholme and many more.
Griffin Prufer, 23 years old, is originally from Greensboro NC and has been playing guitar consistently for 10 years. Griffin is also a student at NC State University and is currently studying textile engineering. Griffin brings a commercial, edgy, and modern rock sound to the band. His influences include Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Pink Floyd. Griffin has been a member of LaureNicole for 3 years and has contributed to the bands song writing by incorporating catchy riffs and melodic solos.
Jim Snyder, 28 years old, has been playing drums for 15 years and is the newest member of LaureNicole. Jim's musical influences range from Matt Cameron, Taylor Hawkins, Joey Jordison, Dennis Chambers, and Thomas Lang to name a few. Jim brings a modern edge with his drumming and exciting stage presence during live performances.
LaureNicole will be releasing their new EP "Kaulaudioscope" on February 10th, 2018.
